Some of the greatest cinematic moments to ever grace the screen have come in the form of a movie monologue. Robin Williams in Good Will Hunting. Samuel L. Jackson in Pulp Fiction. Peter Finch in Network. We could go on. But when we tried to think of female monologues that are as iconic, we drew a blank.
Thus, WOMEN TALK MAN was born - the opportunity for female-identifying actors to reinterpret these powerhouse moments historically reserved for men, adding more complexity and a fresh POV. Because wouldn’t it be incredible to watch how Viola Davis would offer to lasso the moon? Or Meryl Streep explain how she always wanted to be a gangster? Or Penelope Cruz pulling a Walter White and telling us that SHE is the one who knocks?
